Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team at Schwartz Brothers Restaurants. As a key member of our bakery operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety in our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the QA team activities to ensure all products meet quality standards.
  • Schedule and coordinate work assignments for QA technicians.
  • Oversee the implementation of SQF/HACCP plans and other food safety programs.
  • Review and analyze data gathered from suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Work closely with production, packaging, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the quality assurance process and implement enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • At least two years' experience as a QA Supervisor or similar role in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in bakery.
  • Good working knowledge of all FDA food manufacturing rules and regulations, including FSMA/HARPC and food defense.
  • Knowledge and working experience with food safety principles such as CGMP, SQF, HACCP, and Kosher principles.
  • Knowledge of food technology, food microbiology, and safe food handling procedures.
  • HACCP trained and certified required (within 3 years).
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using quality assurance software and tools.
  • Flexible work schedule and ability to work nights and weekends when needed.

Wage Range: $25.00-$30.00/DOE
