Position Summary

The Retail Sales Associate plays a vital role in enhancing the customer experience. In this part-time, hourly position, you will interact with customers, manage transactions, maintain an organized sales area, and ensure a positive shopping atmosphere. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently.
  • Follow directions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize creativity and problem-solving skills to enhance customer interactions.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate active listening and strong customer service abilities.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the products offered.
  • Anticipate customer needs and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Quickly learn to operate the store's point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain regular attendance, which is crucial for business operations.

Daily Duties

  • Greet customers warmly as they enter the store.
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience by highlighting promotions and new products.
  • Create a welcoming and vibrant shopping environment.
  • Assist customers directly and provide support as needed.
  • Drive sales through customer engagement and product knowledge.
  • Maintain enthusiasm and provide information about all Grunt Style offerings.
  • Work collaboratively to meet sales targets.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking.
  • Balance multiple tasks while remaining attentive to customer needs.
  • Uphold visual merchandising standards.
  • Process transactions, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
  • Report to the designated supervisor for guidance and support.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Work Environment

This position operates in a fast-paced retail environment that may require flexibility in scheduling. The role involves the use of standard office equipment, including computers and point-of-sale systems.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to perform essential functions, which may include:

  • Effective verbal communication in person and over the phone.
  • Operating equipment and handling transactions.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Climbing ladders as necessary.
  • Maintaining focus in a low-noise environment.
