Job Title: Contracting & Procurement Support Specialist

This is a temporary, contingent labor position supporting our client's oil and gas operations. The role involves completing specific tasks or projects within a defined timeframe or until certain goals are reached.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the source-to-pay lifecycle, from Request for Proposal to contract close-out, including process workflows, approvals, invoicing, and Delegations of Financial Authority.
  • Review contract documentation, including drafts, executed originals, amendments, and compensation templates, and convert this information into client's ERP systems.
  • Keep track of tasks and requests, ensuring proper prioritization, and document and report periodic progress updates to the client.
  • Become familiar with capital and operating budgets and their role in the materials or services requisition process, including recognizing approved spend levels and their impact on the process.
  • Provide invoice lifecycle support, including onboarding suppliers, integrating them into ERP, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal and external customers to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services and the payment of invoices.
  • Manage reporting requests (both ad hoc and scheduled), requiring the ability to create reports by combining large data sets from multiple data sources in Excel.
  • Provide support for stakeholders in the source-to-pay process.
  • Identify areas for, and participate in, continuous improvement activities.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience with SAP or another ERP system.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred; 3+ years of specific experience in an ERP environment will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including managing large data sets and creating reports by combining data from multiple sources.
  • Familiarity with contracts and procurement processes.
  • Thorough understanding of ERP data structures (SAP experience preferred) and how data flows through the system.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or the ability to learn it within 6 months.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex or technical processes in plain language to end users.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and prioritization skills.
