Job SummaryThe Nurse Director is a key leadership position responsible for the overall direction and management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery in the Labor and Delivery unit. This role requires a strong leader who can foster a collaborative and patient-centered environment, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative and financial accountability for planning, directing, staffing, coordinating, and controlling functions and activities.
- Develop and align goals with the organization's strategic plans, championing ideas that add value to the organization.
- Manage and meet financial performance targets, including revenue performance and controls spending of departmental budget.
- Ensure regulatory compliance issues are understood and maintained at all times.
- Oversee all unit activities to ensure operations are safe, efficient, and effective for both patients and customers.
- Initiate and implement policies and procedures to ensure standards of care and service are clearly understood and followed by all staff members.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience preferred; minimum of 3-5 years of RN experience required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- Other certifications/qualifications may be required based on the specific unit or specialty.
