Job Summary

The Director of Nursing Operations is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of nursing services in the PACU and PreOp departments. This leadership role requires a strong focus on patient care, staff management, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the PACU and PreOp departments, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategic plans to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including OSHA, DCF, TJC, EEOC, CDC, and ACHA standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with physicians, staff, and other stakeholders to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of RN experience in a PACU or PreOp setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
