Role Overview:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in integrating IT programs and services, addressing interoperability challenges, and designing robust IT security systems that align with evolving business needs. Responsibilities include enhancing existing architectures, managing projects, and effectively communicating complex technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves leading IT systems development projects from inception to support, assessing the effectiveness of current systems, and providing strategic advice on a variety of IT challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis across diverse data domains to formulate strategies that minimize data redundancy and enhance data availability, collaborating with technical teams to deliver sustainable and reusable data architectures.
  • Evaluate data attributes from various systems to create Common Information Models, governing decisions related to data model design, access patterns, and services.
  • Design and implement Databases, Data Warehouses, and Multidimensional Databases/Data Stores.
  • Maintain data models and devise strategies for data acquisition, archival, recovery, and implementation of Database/Data Stores.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems from an accredited institution.
  • Proven ability to translate enterprise vision into actionable enterprise architecture that supports organizational goals.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of full-time experience in developing enterprise architectures and their components.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in Federal Government enterprise architecture development and maintenance.
  • Experience in formulating IT strategies, business architectures, technology architectures, and conducting portfolio rationalization analyses using EA tools.
  • In-depth expertise in cybersecurity, with the ability to implement Zero Trust architecture solutions within an evolving Enterprise Architecture.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining a Technical Reference Model (TRM).
  • Proficient in solution architecture across various domains, including cloud application migration, cloud storage design, and disaster recovery.
  • Subject matter expertise in IT infrastructure, supported by relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, and CCSP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Department of Treasury or other Federal Agencies is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming and design methodologies.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMBOK/PMI is desirable.
  • Local candidates are preferred.

Special Skills/Certifications:

  • Enterprise Architecture certification, such as the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), is required.
  • CISSP certification, including ISSAP, ISSMP, or ISSEP, is preferred.
