Role Overview:

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of IT programs and services. Responsibilities include developing solutions to integration and interoperability challenges, as well as designing, developing, and managing IT security systems that align with both current and future business needs. The candidate will be tasked with enhancing and optimizing existing architectures, managing assigned projects, and effectively communicating complex technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves preparing and delivering briefings to senior management on intricate and sometimes contentious issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis across various data domains to formulate strategies aimed at minimizing data redundancy and enhancing data availability and accessibility through collaboration with technical teams, ultimately delivering a sustainable and reusable data architecture.
  • Evaluate data attributes from diverse systems and create Common Information Models, governing data-related decisions concerning model design, access patterns, and data services.
  • Design and develop databases, data warehouses, and multidimensional databases/data stores.
  • Maintain data models while formulating strategies for data acquisition, archival, recovery, and the implementation of databases/data stores.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to synthesize the enterprise vision with the necessary architecture to fulfill organizational goals.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of full-time post-college experience in developing enterprise architectures and their various components.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in Federal Government enterprise architecture development and maintenance.
  • Experience in formulating IT strategies, business architectures, technology architectures, conducting portfolio rationalization analyses, and utilizing EA tools.
  • Deep expertise in cybersecurity, with the capability to engineer solutions that align with an evolving Enterprise Architecture.
  • Prior experience in creating and maintaining a Technical Reference Model (TRM).
  • Solution architecture skills in areas such as cloud application migration, cloud storage design, and disaster recovery.
  • Subject matter expertise in IT infrastructure, supported by relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, and CCSP.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with the Department of Treasury or other Federal Agencies is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming and design methodologies.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification accredited by PMBOK/PMI.
  • Local candidates are preferred.

Special Skills/Knowledge/Training:

  • Enterprise Architecture certification, such as the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), is mandatory.
  • CISSP certification, including ISSAP, ISSMP, or ISSEP, is required.
