Role Overview:

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of IT programs and services. This includes developing solutions to interoperability challenges and designing, implementing, and managing IT security systems that align with current and future business needs. Responsibilities will encompass enhancing existing architectures, managing assigned projects, translating complex technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders, and delivering presentations to senior management on intricate issues. Additional tasks involve leading IT systems development projects from conception to support, assessing the effectiveness of installed systems, and providing strategic advice on a broad spectrum of IT challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis across various data domains to formulate strategies that minimize data redundancy and enhance data availability and accessibility, collaborating with technical teams to deliver a sustainable and reusable data architecture.
  • Evaluate data attributes from multiple systems to create Common Information Models, governing decisions related to data model design, access patterns, and data services.
  • Design and develop databases, data warehouses, and multidimensional databases/data stores.
  • Maintain data models and devise strategies for data acquisition, archival, recovery, and implementation of databases/data stores.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to synthesize enterprise vision with the necessary architecture to meet organizational goals.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of full-time experience in developing enterprise architectures and their components.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in Federal Government enterprise architecture development and maintenance.
  • Proven experience in formulating IT strategies, business architectures, technology architectures, conducting portfolio rationalization analyses, and utilizing EA tools.
  • In-depth expertise in cybersecurity, with the capability to engineer solutions that integrate with evolving enterprise architectures.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining a Technical Reference Model (TRM).
  • Proficient in solution architecture across diverse areas, including cloud application migration, cloud storage design, and disaster recovery.
  • Subject matter expertise in IT infrastructure, supported by relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, and CCSP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Department of Treasury or other Federal Agencies is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming and design methodologies.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification accredited by PMBOK/PMI.
  • Local candidates are preferred.

Essential Skills/Knowledge/Training:

  • Certification in Enterprise Architecture, such as the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), is required.
  • CISSP certification, including ISSAP, ISSMP, or ISSEP, is preferred.
