Bilingual Client Support Specialist

Role Summary
This role is pivotal in ensuring a secure and supportive atmosphere for clients. The individual will also serve as a backup driver when necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROGRAM ASSISTANT
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of activities aimed at promoting physical fitness and therapeutic engagement.
- Support the serving of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks, while aiding in food preparation and feeding when required.
- Help clients with mobility aids such as walkers and wheelchairs, as well as with outerwear and personal belongings upon arrival and departure.
- Provide personal assistance to clients, which may include support with hygiene, bathing, laundry, and grooming in a respectful and secure manner.
- Monitor clients' fluid intake and observe general health and medical conditions.
- Engage with clients during activities to encourage participation and enhance their experience.
- Ensure client safety by consistently monitoring their whereabouts.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dining and kitchen areas.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DRIVER
- Ensure safe transportation of clients to and from the center, including during outings.
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections to guarantee passenger safety, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the vehicle.
- Prepare transportation logs and reports, documenting vehicle usage, maintenance, and fuel consumption.
- Provide assistance to clients boarding and alighting from the vehicle, including support with mobility aids.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Excel, Word, and Google Forms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
- Ability to handle feedback constructively and foster positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and efficiency in work output.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, staff, and the community.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in human relations and interpersonal interactions.
- Ability to complete incident reports when necessary.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with a Certified Nursing Assistant Certification or relevant experience in senior care. Experience with older adults, particularly those with dementia or Alzheimer's, is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish, with a patient, dependable, and reliable demeanor, capable of maintaining confidentiality and working in a diverse environment. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This position involves various physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying items over 50 lbs.
