**Job Summary**

The Infection Preventionist is a critical role within Providence, responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with infection prevention policies, practices, and processes across the organization. This position requires a high level of autonomy and expertise in infection control, epidemiology, and public health.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement infection prevention programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate with infection prevention leadership, medical directors, and peers to advance infection prevention practices and policies.
  • Conduct epidemiological investigations and analysis to identify and mitigate infection control risks.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection prevention best practices.
  • Monitor and report on infection control metrics and trends.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health science field.
  • Certified in Infection Control within 1 year of hire.
  • 1 year of Healthcare Experience.
  • 1 year of Epidemiology Experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health science field.
  • Certified Infection Control upon hire.
  • 4 years of Healthcare Experience.
  • 2 years of Epidemiology Experience.
