Job Summary:

The Radiologic Imaging Specialist will deliver high-quality imaging services to patients, ensuring adherence to physician directives. This role prioritizes patient safety and comfort while preparing imaging rooms, developing images, and maintaining equipment to meet manufacturer standards. The specialist will operate diagnostic equipment safely and ethically, demonstrating professional judgment throughout the imaging process. Strong customer service skills are essential, as the specialist will engage with patients and their families, ensuring clear communication and respectful treatment.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute general radiographic and specialized imaging procedures following clinical protocols. Position patients effectively to highlight the area of interest while ensuring their comfort. Assess images for technical quality and maintain accurate identification records.
  • Input patient data accurately into the electronic medical record and Radiology Information System (RIS). Verify patient identification according to organizational policies and monitor patients during procedures, reporting any changes in condition.
  • Deliver exceptional service to patients, physicians, and colleagues, addressing any delays and promoting a patient-centered approach throughout daily operations.
  • Maintain safe radiation levels and adhere to established safety protocols. Conduct necessary equipment checks prior to use to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Arrive prepared for shifts, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the Radiology department. Assist in training new staff and contribute to operational policy development as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Licensure: Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification required.
