Diesel Technician Preventative Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and standard component inspections and repairs.
- Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable.
- Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required.
- Replace defective components as instructed.
- Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
- Basic tools, required.
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance.
- Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience, preferred.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred.
- Competitive hourly pay rate.
