Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Desk Technician to join our team at Charlotte Latin School. As a key member of our IT department, you will provide technical support to our campus members, ensuring seamless access to technology and resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff on hardware and software issues.
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software, including ordering, repairs, and replacements.
  • Utilize MDM software, Active Directory, Google Workspace, and OS-specific software to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and lead employee training sessions on new software, hardware, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with the team to review and update documentation annually.
  • Stay updated on technology trends through reading, training, and professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems management or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in technical support or a related field.
  • Preferred experience with both Apple and Windows operating systems, JAMF, and IT management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
Working Conditions

The Service Desk Technician will work in a fast-paced school setting, with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds. The position requires continuous sitting, standing, and use of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers. The technician will be exposed to dust, chemicals, fumes, and moderate indoor heat and cold temperatures.
