Culinary Operations Supervisor

Position Overview

As a Culinary Operations Supervisor at TGI Fridays, you will orchestrate the kitchen environment, ensuring a harmonious and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee kitchen operations during scheduled shifts, making daily decisions that support staff, engage with guests, and uphold our high standards of quality and cleanliness.

- Maintain a precise staffing plan, preparing schedules to ensure all areas are adequately staffed for every shift.

- Recruit, train, and mentor hourly team members, providing continuous feedback and conducting regular performance evaluations.

- Ensure that all new hires complete their training programs, including necessary documentation.

- Engage with guests to guarantee they receive the exceptional TGI Fridays service, addressing any concerns or feedback they may have.

- Proactively manage shifts by anticipating guest needs and ensuring a well-prepared environment for service.

- Monitor kitchen operations closely, addressing any discrepancies promptly and effectively.

- Identify opportunities to enhance sales and manage costs, developing strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.

- Manage inventory in a cost-effective manner, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

- Uphold food quality by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards.

- Foster open communication between kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.

- In the absence of the General Manager, assume responsibility for overseeing the entire restaurant operation.

- Implement security measures to safeguard team members, guests, and company assets.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Culinary Operations Supervisor role possesses exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a passion for creating a positive guest experience. Specific qualifications include:

- Preferred Bachelor's Degree or relevant college coursework.

- At least 2 years of experience in restaurant management, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations.

- Previous experience in purchasing and food production is advantageous.

- Prior kitchen experience is preferred.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

- Frequent bending and stooping are required.

- Proficiency in reading and writing English.

- Ability to hear clearly in a bustling kitchen environment.
