Facilities Operations Supervisor - Healthcare

Position Overview:

The Facilities Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the maintenance and regulatory compliance of the organization's infrastructure, including buildings, grounds, fixtures, and equipment.

Responsibilities may encompass several functional areas such as safety, security, maintenance, facilities management, materials oversight, and housekeeping. This role also includes serving as the emergency management and safety officer for the organization, while supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment, covering plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, mechanical repairs, and painting.
  • Ensure the overall upkeep of the facility, maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
  • Complete work orders and hazard reports promptly, reporting any equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Manage the procurement and storage of maintenance supplies.
  • Adhere to a preventative maintenance schedule and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with landscaping and upkeep of outdoor areas.
  • Inspect and maintain emergency power systems and fire safety equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Oversee plumbing repairs and maintain furniture in common areas.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Participate in fire and disaster preparedness drills.
  • Prepare meeting rooms and arrange furniture for events.
  • Be available for on-call duties and weekend work as needed.
