Position Summary:
The Purchasing Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Internal Operations team by managing daily production activities. This position ensures that all bids, take-offs, and project initiations are organized, providing a seamless experience for Construction Managers and Trade Partners. By assisting the Purchasing Manager with daily tasks, the Purchasing Coordinator gains insights into product specifications, material utilization, industry norms, construction methodologies, building regulations, and company protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage new home start packages using the BRIX system.
- Provide Trade Partners with essential documentation to facilitate their responsibilities.
- Examine and resolve issues related to Change Orders.
- Support the Purchasing Manager with data entry and maintenance of the BRIX database.
- Assist in updating vendor information and pricing for ongoing projects.
- Help identify and report on rebate opportunities, capturing relevant manufacturer rebates, model credits, and local utility incentives.
- Process daily variance purchase order requests from the team.
- Handle payroll-related accounts payable on a weekly basis as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Familiarity with the BRIX software system is advantageous.
- Experience in database management and reporting is essential.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is required (including the ability to create spreadsheets with mathematical formulas, some macros, formatting, and report generation).
- Education/Experience: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of one year of experience in the new home construction industry.
