Job Description:

As a key member of the team at InsideHigherEd, you will play a vital role in managing the personnel activities of our Academic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the recruitment, placement, and termination of employees, ensuring that all processes are conducted fairly and consistently.

Your duties will include advising departmental management on pay issues, affirmative action requirements, classification issues, performance appraisal, employee relations, employee and student visa sponsorships, and employee training and development. You will also be responsible for maintaining liaison with Human Resources, SOM HR, and other appropriate offices and departments to respond to personnel problems, issues, and special requests.

To succeed in this role, you will require a general business or personnel background, equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field. Additionally, you will need five years of business and/or administrative experience, with exposure to human resources activities, to acquire knowledge of human resources policies and procedures necessary to manage the personnel activities of a major department or division.
