Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain a complete and systematic set of records of business transactions for the assigned business unit, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a courteous and efficient manner, relaying relevant comments to supervisors.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Assist the Controller with reports and weekly closing procedures, summarizing details in separate ledgers or computer files and transferring data to the general ledger.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate employee wages from time cards and submit payroll registers for payment, as well as administer benefits and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax reports as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of previous experience in financial operations or accounting, or certification in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and customer service skills, proficiency in financial software and systems.
