Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Executive who is eager to make a substantial impact on both the financial and strategic dimensions of our organization. This role is crucial in establishing our finance department from the ground up and requires active involvement in all facets of financial oversight, including strategic planning, comprehensive financial reporting, and effective management of costs and capital.

Your leadership will be vital in executing essential financial functions and shaping our overarching financial strategy. This position is key to fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within our finance team, driving us toward our financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: Build and lead a dynamic finance team, ensuring alignment with strategic financial goals and objectives.
  • Financial Planning: Oversee the financial planning process, including budget development, forecasting, and analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • External Relations: Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, creditors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Payroll Oversight: Supervise payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with labor regulations.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Review and authorize payable transactions, optimize vendor relationships, and collaborate on contract negotiations.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls and procedures, conducting regular assessments and audits.
  • Tax Strategy: Collaborate on tax planning initiatives, ensuring compliance and optimizing the company's tax position.
  • Operational Efficiency: Analyze financial processes for potential improvements and collaborate on cost-saving initiatives.
  • Budgeting: Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate forecasts.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all financial regulations, mitigating risks and maintaining organizational integrity.
  • Team Development: Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering a collaborative environment and educating stakeholders on financial impacts.
  • Payment Management: Serve as the primary contact for payment processors, ensuring reliable financial solutions are in place.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Engage in financial analysis for mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, overseeing integration from a financial perspective.
  • Investor Communication: Manage investor relations, preparing and presenting financial metrics to ensure transparency and build confidence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
  • Experience managing third-party financial relationships.
  • Proven track record in leading financial processes for organizations with significant revenue.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication abilities for both internal and external interactions.
  • Experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current or previous CPA certification.
  • Experience with private equity or investor relations.
  • Familiarity with payroll and expense management software.
