About the Role

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a seasoned executive to lead our sales and operations efforts. As the Executive Director of Sales and Operations, you will be responsible for driving business growth and profitability, as well as developing and executing sales strategies that align with our company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Define elements of regional business strategy, manage sales professionals, and direct sales activities to achieve profitable growth.
  • Lead Sales and Operations Teams: Set key performance indicators for sales force, review performance, and work with cost-to-serve models to optimize sales plans.
  • Monitor Sales Performance: Ensure compliance with short- and long-term goals, pricing strategies, and contracts.
  • Identify Business Opportunities: Validate business opportunities, assist the sales organization in identifying business alternatives, and prepare proposals and contracts.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy: Understand the competitive market environment to adjust strategy and respond to changes in the economy.
  • Financial Management: Review gains and losses, understand P&L, and provide monthly reporting to senior-level management.
  • Customer Engagement: Coordinate with retail locations and plant operations to ensure customer needs are met while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Site Visits and Issue Resolution: Perform customer site visits and handle high-impact issues that require resolution.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant job experience required; 10-15 years of management experience and 5-10 years of direct selling experience preferred.
  • Communication and Leadership: Communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, drive engagement, vision, and purpose, and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Travel and Flexibility: Ability to travel a minimum of 50% and adapt to changing business needs.
