Reporting To: Materials Manager

Position Summary:

The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining the integrity of inventory through accurate counting and documentation of materials. This role requires adherence to safety standards and the ability to meet performance expectations. The employee will engage in continuous skill development to align with company goals related to quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Understand and comply with ISO standards relevant to inventory management.
  • Utilize computer systems effectively for inventory tracking.
  • Identify and locate various components accurately.
  • Operate scales, reel counters, and label printers as needed.
  • Handle materials using hand trucks or pallet jacks when necessary.
  • Ensure accurate inventory counts and proper placement of items.
  • Navigate software systems to perform cycle counts accurately.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and adherence to lean standards.
  • Demonstrate proper scanning techniques as instructed.
  • Meet established performance standards consistently.
  • Communicate supply needs promptly throughout the workday.
  • Document actions and performance in accordance with current procedures.
  • Contribute to team objectives by completing assigned tasks accurately.
  • Follow directives and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Ensure all materials are properly labeled with part numbers.
  • Maintain accuracy in all inventory counts.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Comply with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of cycle counting experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate safety standards and quality procedures.
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate counting and calculations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy items (minimum 40 lbs).
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or safety.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to read and interpret shop prints and work orders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
