The Senior Commercial Banking Officer (CBO III) plays a pivotal role in driving high-level business development initiatives tailored for commercial clients. This position is also responsible for connecting clients with various banking services to fulfill their financial needs.

The CBO III will assess, evaluate, and either approve or recommend the approval of client applications for lines of credit, commercial loans, and owner-occupied commercial real estate loans typically exceeding $500,000, focusing on businesses within our operational area. Additionally, the CBO III may occasionally facilitate non-owner occupied commercial real estate transactions under $5 million and will be tasked with generating commercial deposits. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing and executing tailored business strategies that align with regional and corporate objectives.
  • Identifying and nurturing potential loan and deposit opportunities using available resources.
  • Creating pre-call strategies to maximize the effectiveness of client interactions, involving team members as necessary.
  • Conducting interviews with potential clients to gather essential information for loan applications or deposit initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with credit and pricing standards that align with corporate goals.
  • Collaborating with Credit and Commercial Administration teams to streamline loan application processes, enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Working closely with Retail Banking and Wealth Management teams to adopt a relationship-focused approach to client needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records in the Loan Pipeline Report and updating it as necessary.
  • Striving to meet or exceed production targets, including a minimum of $13.5 million in new loan production and $2 million in new deposits.
  • Coordinating with legal and administrative teams to prepare documentation for self-generated loans.
  • Managing all assigned commercial loan relationships, including collection efforts and maintenance of credit files.
  • Representing Camden National Bank at various community and business events.
  • Engaging in leadership roles within local non-profits and community organizations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position does not include direct supervisory duties.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A bachelor's degree combined with ten years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills:

Proficiency in applying mathematical concepts to practical scenarios.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to address practical problems and interpret diverse instructions.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in word processing, contact management, internet, and spreadsheet software.
