Job Summary

Middlebury College seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Logistics Coordinator to provide set-up, tear-down, and logistical support for all campus events. This is a labor-intensive position that requires excellent human relations, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate event logistics, including set-up, tear-down, and clean-up, to ensure a smooth and successful event experience.
  • Work closely with event organizers to provide guidance on optimal set-up and ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available.
  • Maintain a schedule of all events requiring logistical support and ensure that all event-related items are in good condition.
  • Provide additional special logistics needs and other duties as assigned by the Vice President's Office.
Requirements
  • A combination of education and experience that demonstrates skills relevant to this position, including a Bachelor's degree and/or experience with facilities and working in an educational or conference set-up environment.
  • Good organizational, planning, and logistical skills, as well as excellent human relations, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to effectively use computerized information systems, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of safety, particularly in moving and handling heavy equipment.
