Activities Coordinator

At The Park Lane, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Activities Assistant to join our team. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing engaging activities for our residents, promoting their attendance and participation in events and programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the mission, vision, and culture of The Park Lane by promoting a positive and inclusive environment for residents.
- Plan and implement activities, events, and programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
- Collaborate with the activities team to develop and implement activity schedules, ensuring a variety of engaging and stimulating programs.
- Assist with decorating for holidays and special occasions, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and their families.
- Conduct activity programs as assigned, ensuring a high level of engagement and participation from residents.
- Assist residents with gardening projects, promoting physical activity and social interaction.
- Operate audio-visual equipment, such as VCRs, DVDs, and stereos, to enhance the activities and events experience.
- Experience working with seniors, preferably in a retirement community or dementia care setting.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and redirect seniors as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent certificate, with a focus on customer service, communication, or a related field.
- Valid First Aid Certification, with the ability to respond to emergencies and provide basic care.
