Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at ACCO Engineered Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering services, from conceptual design through construction completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Design and Development
    • Design and develop complex mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
    • Ensure designs meet or exceed industry standards and building codes.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project communication.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, technologies, and best practices.
    • Apply technical expertise to resolve complex engineering problems and improve project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience
    • 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC design and development.
  • Skills
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software.
    • Strong understanding of building codes, industry standards, and engineering principles.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Lifting and moving up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision.
  • Auditory/hearing abilities required include the ability to hear customers and colleagues.
Work Environment

This is a non-exempt position, working Monday through Friday, with regular hours between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. Occasional overtime may be required.

Competitive wage: $46.52 to $56.29 per hour.
