Marine Operations Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all operational aspects of MARAD vessels during port and dry-dock periods.
  • Lead shipyard teams and repair contractors in executing vessel maintenance tasks.
  • Supervise the installation and servicing of marine power systems, propulsion mechanisms, and related equipment.
  • Develop and manage budgets and work schedules for ongoing vessel upkeep.
  • Collaborate with the Captain and First Officer to ensure efficient cargo handling and logistics.
  • Guarantee vessel preparedness for sea trials and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate repair activities with external service providers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in vessel maintenance and repair operations.
  • Proficient in data management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively under pressure.

Work Environment: The role involves moderate noise levels and exposure to mechanical components.

Compensation Range: $79,600 - $151,000.
