Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to become an integral part of our dynamic team. This role is essential in the development and optimization of components for high-volume production, driving enhancements that support our strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional mechanical design and analytical expertise, focusing on the advancement of our proprietary systems and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce detailed mechanical schematics for various manufacturing processes, including machining, casting, and injection molding.
  • Develop, assess, and prototype intricate mechanical designs, utilizing advanced engineering principles and rigorous analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify challenges and deliver effective solutions grounded in solid engineering practices.
  • Engage with suppliers to explore and implement alternative fabrication methods, aiming to reduce costs and strengthen the supply chain.
  • Conduct design verification and validation testing, documenting findings in comprehensive reports.
  • Investigate and resolve the root causes of design and manufacturing defects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide mechanical engineering support for addressing field and manufacturing challenges.
  • Assist in product risk assessments and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Mentor and support multidisciplinary teams to enhance technical capabilities and facilitate system-level integration.
  • Drive innovation in component and system-level solutions in partnership with vendors to advance our product initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing, emphasizing technical and process development.
  • Proficient in CAD software, with a strong preference for Solidworks expertise.
  • Experience in various manufacturing processes, including metal and plastic fabrication.
  • Strong understanding of design requirements, traceability, and risk analysis methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
