We are in search of a Staff Accountant to enhance our financial team. This role involves collaboration with operational and managerial personnel to analyze and discuss site-level financial data. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities and a solid grasp of US GAAP accounting principles to effectively manage accounting responsibilities and mitigate financial risks.

Key Responsibilities:

The Staff Accountant will undertake various tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Customer billing and collections management
  • Preparation of journal entries
  • Analysis of daily job costs
  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Assistance in the preparation of financial reports
  • Support for annual budget development
  • Maintenance of financial controls
  • Assistance during interim and year-end financial audits

Specific Duties Include:

  • Creating general ledger journal entries
  • Conducting monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts
  • Managing customer billing and collections
  • Posting customer credit and debit memos
  • Supporting financial audits
  • Assisting with physical inventory as needed
  • Performing ad hoc financial analyses
  • Reviewing weekly financial data and identifying trends
  • Preparing and distributing periodic financial reports to management
  • Executing other financial and reporting tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards
  • Experience in preparing and analyzing general ledger reconciliations
  • Familiarity with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Understanding of financial application security and confidentiality policies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
  • Graduate degree is a plus

Software Proficiency:

  • Experience with ERP systems, including AP, AR, GL, and inventory management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong data entry capabilities
