American Express is seeking highly skilled Senior Managers, Financial Systems, to lead the development of financial technology systems. As a Senior Manager, Financial Systems, you will work under the supervision of a Director to determine accounting, reporting, and control requirements for system development. This role requires a deep understanding of financial systems and the ability to assess and identify changes needed to meet business requirements.

Key responsibilities include developing data-driven solutions, partnering with stakeholders to design and implement changes, and ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness. You will also be responsible for reviewing updates to project deliverables, process flows, and accounting and reporting flows to enhance financial systems. Additionally, you will develop key financial insights for presentations throughout the Finance organization.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related STEM field, and 2 years of experience with the development of financial technology systems. You must also have experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes in the credit card industry, accounting, financial reporting, and management reporting, and end-to-end IT project planning using Clarity and Sharepoint. Experience with Relational Database and Data Management concepts using SQL, and accounting concepts to implement Automated Ledgering using Oracle Financial Accounting Hub and General Ledger, is also required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related STEM field
