Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively builds a high-performing team by attracting, interviewing, evaluating, mentoring, and retaining top talent.
  • Provides on-site leadership for the project team, motivating members to achieve project objectives while adhering to their roles and timelines.
  • Implements and enforces safety protocols and procedures, addressing any non-compliance among all personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Utilizes the Quality Management System to execute the project, identifying potential rework patterns and developing strategies to eliminate them.
  • Oversees essential project management practices including construction progress tracking, financial forecasting, document management, problem resolution, and value engineering.
  • Establishes, communicates, and enforces production targets and schedules with subcontractors.
  • Collaborates with the Project Manager to develop the project schedule, ensuring the team adheres to the plan; creates a four-week lookahead schedule to facilitate daily progress and resource balancing.
  • Accurately prepares the Four Week Look Ahead schedule weekly and ensures compliance.
  • Aims to exceed project budget expectations; implements effective cost control measures over subcontractors, materials, equipment, and related expenses.
  • Educates the Project Team on planning, surveying, plan interpretation, productivity, efficiency, optimal crew size, quality workmanship, and safety to ensure projects are completed efficiently and profitably.
  • Facilitates daily meetings to enhance communication, resolve issues, and share ideas, ensuring projects are executed effectively and profitably.
  • Reviews all Foremen's and Daily Reports, as well as Subcontractor's Daily Reports, for accuracy in hours, time coding, production quantities, and activity summaries.
  • Understands the key terms and conditions of the Prime Contract with the Owner and communicates any deviations accordingly.
  • Is knowledgeable about the operational details of the subcontract and holds subcontractors accountable to their agreements and company standards.
  • This position is primarily field-based at project construction sites.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • At least 4 years of experience overseeing self-perform work with multiple crews totaling 20 or more craft personnel and equipment operators; prior experience as a Foreman and/or Master Electrical License is advantageous.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with the ability to guide a diverse group of individuals.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects with varied scopes and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a demonstrated ability to navigate challenging client relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of various construction disciplines (electrical, earthwork, utilities, structures, mechanical, etc.).
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA Safety regulations.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, leadership, interpersonal skills, and effective time management are essential.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and P3/P6 Primavera software.
  • Willingness to travel and/or temporarily relocate to project construction sites as needed.
