Embedded Hardware Security Engineer, Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Hardware Security Engineer, Senior to join our team. As an electrical engineer with a strong background in embedded system design, mobile platforms, and architecture, you will play a critical role in evaluating hardware security implementation in embedded electronics.

The Opportunity

As a member of our mission-oriented engineering group, you will be challenged to design and develop techniques for testing memory subsystems, security subsystems, and debugging interfaces on electronic devices. Your expertise in reverse engineering, electronic test equipment, and microcontroller or FPGA board design will be invaluable in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop techniques for testing memory subsystems, security subsystems, and debugging interfaces on electronic devices
  • Use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, JTAG or SW debuggers
  • Design and program microcontroller or FPGA boards to monitor or communicate with internal buses
  • Use IDA Pro or Ghidra for reverse engineering
  • Knowledge of ARM architecture and assembly language
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with software development in C, C++, or Python
  • 3+ years of experience with software, firmware, and hardware Reverse Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, JTAG or SW debuggers
  • 3+ years of experience designing and programming microcontroller or FPGA boards to monitor or communicate with internal buses
  • 3+ years of experience using IDA Pro or Ghidra for reverse engineering
  • Knowledge of ARM architecture and assembly language
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in EE or Computer Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cryptography
  • Master's degree in EE or Computer Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172, annualized USD.
