Position Overview:
As a Senior Mobile Security Vulnerability Specialist, you will engage in the critical task of analyzing and fortifying mobile software against potential threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reverse engineering, along with both static and dynamic binary assessments, to identify vulnerabilities across various platforms and operating systems.
- Develop proof-of-concept applications that replicate the behavior of analyzed binaries and their interactions with system components, validating any identified vulnerabilities.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation detailing research findings related to security mechanisms, including access control, encryption, and obfuscation techniques.
Essential Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of expertise in reverse engineering or vulnerability assessment.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C, or C++.
- Experience in embedded device software development, including knowledge of compilers, linkers, and the binary code generation process.
- Skilled in static reverse engineering of software binaries, utilizing tools like Ghidra or IDA Pro.
- Proven track record in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in firmware binaries through static and dynamic reverse engineering methodologies.
- Familiarity with contemporary software exploitation techniques, secure boot processes, and bootloader design for mobile platforms like iOS or Android.
- Understanding of microcontroller security architecture, including ARM architecture and assembly language, as well as mobile operating systems.
- Experience in extending or modifying exploit chains to various devices or microcontrollers.
- Possession of a Top Secret clearance.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in forensic analysis of digital media.
- Proficient in analyzing packet captures using tools such as Wireshark.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems and security protocols.
- Familiarity with cryptographic algorithms and their applications.
Clearance Requirements:
Applicants selected for this role will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
