Position Overview:
As a Senior Mobile Security Vulnerability Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive reverse engineering, as well as static and dynamic binary analysis, to identify vulnerabilities in software across various platforms and operating systems. Your expertise will enable you to develop proof-of-concept software that mimics the behavior of analyzed binaries and their interactions with system components, validating any vulnerabilities discovered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth reverse engineering and vulnerability assessments.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, C, or C++ to develop solutions.
- Engage in embedded device software development, understanding compilers, linkers, and the binary code generation process.
- Conduct static reverse engineering of software binaries using tools like Ghidra or IDA Pro.
- Identify and exploit vulnerabilities in firmware binaries through both static and dynamic reverse engineering techniques.
- Apply modern software exploitation methods, including secure boot processes and bootloader design for mobile platforms.
- Analyze microcontroller security architectures, including ARM architecture and assembly language.
- Extend or modify exploit chains for various devices or microcontrollers.
- Maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in forensic analysis of digital media.
- Proficient in analyzing packet captures using tools such as Wireshark.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems and security protocols.
- Familiarity with cryptographic algorithms and their applications.
Security Clearance:
Applicants selected for this role will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
