The Opportunity:
As a seasoned electrical engineer, your expertise in complex systems is essential for assessing hardware security measures in embedded electronics.

We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer to leverage their skills in supporting law enforcement by developing innovative forensic tools and investigative solutions.

At Booz Allen Hamilton, your engineering acumen will play a pivotal role in transforming law enforcement capabilities. Our team specializes in digital forensics, enabling investigators to retrieve user data from electronic devices.

Your background in embedded system design, mobile platforms, and hardware security principles will be crucial in crafting and enhancing techniques for evaluating memory subsystems, security subsystems, and debugging interfaces on electronic devices.

As part of our mission-driven engineering group, you will tackle challenging projects aimed at recovering potentially deleted data.

Your contributions will directly influence criminal and counter-intelligence investigations through the application of failure analysis, glitching, and side-channel analysis techniques to reverse engineer embedded systems.

We expect you to share your electrical engineering knowledge by providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your extensive experience in embedded systems development and testing while expanding your expertise into advanced areas such as side-channel analysis, hardware-backed security components, and reverse engineering.

You Have:

3+ years of experience in software development using C, C++, or Python
3+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including firmware development, bare-metal programming, FPGA development, and JTAG
1+ years of experience in side-channel analysis, including fault-injection, glitching, power analysis, and electromagnetic interference
1+ years of experience with IDA Pro or Ghidra for reverse engineering
Familiarity with Arm Architecture
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Nice If

You Have:

Experience with Operating System code
Knowledge of cryptography
Understanding of Flash memory and RAM concepts
Familiarity with secure boot processes
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen Hamilton is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's unique combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 annually (USD).

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position and is one component of Booz Allen Hamilton's total compensation package for employees.
