Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
In this pivotal role, the selected candidate will be responsible for performing reverse engineering and vulnerability assessments of software across multiple platforms and operating systems, particularly focusing on mobile technologies to support national security initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years in software development, with proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or C/C++.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in reverse engineering software binaries from mobile operating systems, including iOS and Android, as well as low-level device code.
  • Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures, including ARM or RISC-V, and assembly language programming.
  • Experience with software dynamic analysis tools such as JTAG, gdb, OllyDbg, and WinDbg.
  • Background in exploitation capability prototyping, including use-after-free and heap overflow vulnerabilities.
  • Familiarity with operating system internals for Windows, Linux, or MacOS.
  • Proficient in developing software systems in assembly, C, or C++ across various platforms.
  • Ability to read and write in assembly language for diverse architectures.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and their applications in software.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance is mandatory for this position.

Educational Background:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited institution.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in formal software development methodologies, particularly Agile.
  • Expertise in malware analysis and reverse engineering of x86 Windows binaries.
  • Familiarity with reverse engineering embedded firmware.
  • Understanding of hardware and system-level design principles.
  • Experience in virtualized environments.
  • Knowledge of kernel-level development.
  • Experience in Windows and Linux driver development.
  • Understanding of AI concepts and protocols, including cryptography.
  • Familiarity with security features of mobile platforms.
