Job Overview

Position Summary

The Senior Restoration Specialist plays a crucial role in addressing both urgent and routine service requests, utilizing advanced methodologies for water and fire damage restoration, as well as remediating areas affected by mold, water, or fire. Key responsibilities include ensuring the company vehicle is well-stocked and ready for deployment to job sites, executing thorough cleaning and drying processes, preparing workspaces and equipment, and conducting minor repairs in accordance with project specifications, all while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities

The Restoration Specialist will undertake the following tasks, along with any additional responsibilities assigned by management based on operational needs. These tasks are not listed in any specific order and may be adjusted as necessary.

  • Efficiently and safely perform emergency board-up, water extraction, and fire damage restoration services.
  • Prepare rooms and areas for work activities, including the setup of staging zones and necessary equipment.
  • Assist with demolition tasks and general cleanup efforts.
  • Execute minor construction repairs such as framing, drywall installation, and painting.
  • Maintain clean and organized work environments, ensuring equipment and supplies are securely stored when not in use.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and relay pertinent information to the Project Manager and Superintendent as needed.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, upload relevant documents, and provide job updates in the database as required.
  • Address punch list items with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in clean and operational condition.
  • Keep the company vehicle fully stocked at all times and procure necessary items from local suppliers as needed.
  • Monitor the safety, security, efficiency, and appearance of the company vehicle.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours service requests.

Qualifications

  1. At least 1 year of experience in construction and/or restoration.
  2. Hands-on experience with drywall, painting, trim work, and light carpentry.
  3. A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  4. Understanding of major trade processes, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
  5. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  6. Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Thorough knowledge of the safe and correct operation of all relevant tools and equipment.
  9. Proficient in the use of computer technology.
  10. Skilled in light carpentry, framing, drywall, painting, trim work, and general handyman repairs.
  11. Able to work effectively in a team environment and foster positive relationships.
  12. Eligible to operate a vehicle in accordance with company policy.
  13. IICRC water and fire certification or a willingness to obtain it.

  1. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, occasionally climb ladders, and perform stooping and kneeling tasks.

  3. Must be able to drive within a 100-mile radius from the office to client locations and company facilities.
  4. Must be capable of working in and on overhead structures.
  5. Willingness to participate in occasional overnight travel, weekend, and/or evening work.
  6. This role may involve the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
