Your Role

As the Admissions/Utilization Management Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the referral and intake processes for all residential programs while conducting data collection and reporting related to utilization management for these programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Address all verbal and written inquiries regarding admissions to Hillcrest's residential programs promptly and effectively.
  • Evaluate all referrals for initial suitability.
  • Serve as the liaison between Hillcrest staff and referring workers to address any questions about candidates for admission or the need for additional information or assessments.
  • Provide information about Hillcrest's programs or direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
  • Distribute relevant program descriptions and referral materials as requested.
  • Facilitate timely decision-making regarding admissions for all programs.
  • Gather all necessary information about clients, including psychological evaluations, psychiatric assessments, medical histories, and school reports when applicable, and share these with the assigned internal social worker or counselor.
  • Obtain funding authorizations from potential funders for clients.
  • Ensure all required releases of information and consent for treatment are secured from clients and/or guardians.
  • Review utilization dashboards and internal client referral data to confirm that clients receive appropriate and necessary services.
  • Manage key performance indicators for residential programs, making them visible to program leaders and providing recommendations to administrative and program staff.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a behavioral healthcare environment is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in social work, nursing, or a business-related field is preferred.
