Your Role

As the Utilization Management Coordinator, you will be pivotal in managing the referral and intake process for all residential services while overseeing data collection and reporting for utilization management across programs.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Promptly address all verbal and written inquiries concerning admissions to Hillcrest's residential services.
  • Evaluate all referrals for initial suitability.
  • Serve as the liaison between Hillcrest personnel and referring agents regarding inquiries about candidates for admission or the necessity for further information or assessments.
  • Provide information about Hillcrest's services or direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
  • Disseminate relevant program descriptions and referral materials upon request.
  • Ensure timely decision-making regarding admissions for all programs.
  • Gather all essential information on clients, including current psychological and psychiatric evaluations, medical histories, and educational reports, and share these with the designated internal social worker or counselor.
  • Obtain funding authorizations from potential financial sources for clients.
  • Collect necessary releases of information and consent for treatment from clients or guardians.
  • Review utilization dashboards and internal client referral data to confirm that clients receive appropriate and necessary services.
  • Oversee residential key performance indicators, making them visible to program leaders and providing recommendations to administrative and program staff.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a behavioral healthcare environment is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in social work, nursing, or a business-related field is preferred.
