This role is essential for our Dermatology Clinic.
Grand River Medical Group is in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our dermatology team. The selected nurse will play a vital role in managing patient interactions, assisting with procedures such as biopsies and injections, drawing blood samples, and ensuring comprehensive dermatologic care for each patient.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, adeptness at multitasking, and a high level of professionalism. A supportive and courteous demeanor towards all team members is crucial to enhance the patient experience.
This is a part-time role, requiring approximately 36-40 hours per week, with no evening or weekend shifts. Nurses have the flexibility to take on additional shifts at various clinic locations if desired. Our clinics typically operate from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage phone triage and nurse visits for the designated department, including immunizations and therapeutic injections for patients of all ages.
- Deliver nursing care by applying the nursing process and theoretical knowledge to assess patient conditions and make informed clinical decisions.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations, diagnostic tests, and treatment procedures.
- Provide direct patient care as directed by supervising clinicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Communicate test results to patients and return calls promptly.
- Complete prior authorization requests as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program for either Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses.
- Possession of an active LPN or RN license to practice in the state of Iowa.
- A minimum of two years of nursing experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
