PRIMARY FUNCTION

Main Responsibility: The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying potential clients for follow-up by external sales representatives. This position acts as a liaison between the company and its customers, managing inquiries and processing orders for various products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compile a comprehensive list of potential clients utilizing available resources and company databases.
  • Engage with customers via phone to facilitate orders for products and services, clearly articulating the benefits of the offerings.
  • Provide pricing information, delivery timelines, and payment options, while effectively persuading clients to make purchases based on product knowledge.
  • Document customer interactions, including names, addresses, purchases, and relevant notes in the company database.
  • Complete order forms with necessary details such as delivery schedules and payment information, ensuring credit approval is obtained.
  • Source and procure items from designated vendors as required.
  • At the conclusion of each work period, generate and submit a summary report of activities in accordance with company telemarketing guidelines.
  • May need to reach out to clients regarding shipment delays or material shortages, providing necessary explanations.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the team.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • High school diploma required; some college education preferred.
  • Possess a friendly and persuasive telephone demeanor.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English proficiently; proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of one to two years of experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or procurement is preferred.
