Job Overview

The Production Support Associate plays a vital role in assisting plant operations by performing a variety of essential tasks. This position requires basic training and guidance from supervisors, and responsibilities may span across different areas of the facility, including potential work in raw product storage or agricultural settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate basic machinery, such as powered pallet jacks and tote bin dumpers.
  • Assist in the setup and disassembly of tote bins and pallets within the production area.
  • Handle, rake, and transport tote bins as needed.
  • Ensure proper stacking of collapsed totes and pallets.
  • Lift and stack finished product cases as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness in designated areas, including sweeping, shoveling, and other cleaning tasks.
  • Rework damaged or restricted product cases and bags.
  • Participate in cleaning, sanitizing, and rinsing production and packaging equipment during facility clean-up.
  • Engage in painting projects as required.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors or production leads.
Qualifications:

Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to adhere to safe lifting practices.
  • Understanding of safety hazards and procedures relevant to the tasks performed.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to lift up to 40 pounds and frequently engage in standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and turning.
  • Exposure to a noisy environment with varying temperatures.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing settings for extended periods, including exposure to loud noises, heat, cold, wet conditions, and other environmental factors.
  • Repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements are necessary for job functions.
  • Must be able to work overhead and in confined spaces.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination are essential for operating equipment safely.
  • Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
