FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Full Time
At Torito Brands, we expect the Manufacturing Operations Associate, along with all team members, to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers consistently. It is also essential that the workspace and all areas of interaction are kept clean, organized, and free from debris, while adhering to established safety protocols. Any observed safety irregularities should be promptly reported to the appropriate department.
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Operations Associate plays a crucial role in the production and/or packaging of a diverse range of manufactured goods. This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and tasks associated with this position, which may evolve based on the company's production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute production tasks, including manual rolling, lifting, packaging, taping, labeling, and sorting. Report any defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors.
- Keep the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly state, following safety regulations as outlined by management (subject to change based on company needs).
- Complete repetitive tasks while maintaining focus on counting and recording data.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Prepare cardboard for recycling as necessary.
- Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed.
- Meet production time expectations set by management.
- Be adaptable to changes in duties based on the company's production needs and market demand.
Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
- Effectively communicate information and respond to inquiries from various levels within the organization.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Conduct basic visual quality inspections on products.
- Failure to meet production expectations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- May involve frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of boxes.
- Exposure to raw food products is a constant aspect of the role.
Compensation: $14-$15 Hourly Wage
