Job Title - Senior Business Systems Analyst

Location – Hybrid Remote

Contract

Objective:

This position involves providing expert services for the Inmate Tracking System (ITS) and Inmate Records Information System (IRIS) Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough research to comprehend the scope and business requirements of the Inmate Tracking System (ITS) project.

2. Analyze and understand the business requirements associated with the Inmate Records Information System (IRIS) project.

3. Collaborate with business analysts and developers to ensure the successful development of interfaces for the ITS project, including the creation of specifications and interface design documents.

4. Engage with project subject matter experts to implement security measures such as multifactor authentication and single sign-on for the ITS project.

5. Provide support and complete tasks related to the operational readiness review of the ITS project.

6. Assist in training users for the ITS project to ensure effective adoption.

7. Complete scheduled project tasks for the IRIS project, ensuring all deliverables are met.

8. Validate technical requirements for the IRIS project, ensuring alignment with business needs.

9. Document business analysis for IRIS project interfaces, including Healthlink/EPIC and DataWorks.

10. Collaborate with the TSS network support team to conduct testing for the ITS project.

11. Support developers in testing tasks related to the ITS project interfaces.

12. Provide hands-on support to ensure user acceptance testing is effectively conducted.

13. Assist in disaster recovery tasks assigned for the ITS project.

14. Offer operational support as needed for both the ITS and IRIS projects.

15. Facilitate knowledge transfer to County resources to ensure ongoing operations and support for the ITS and IRIS projects.

Required Skills & Abilities:

1. Minimum of two years of experience as a senior business systems analyst on large-scale projects, along with handling daily operational requests.

2. Experience in the Public, Safety, and Justice domain as a senior business analyst.

3. Strong business analysis skills, with a solid understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

4. Proven project management capabilities to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

5. Proficiency in data analysis, including knowledge of indices, fundamentals, and analytical data, with expertise in MSSQL, data extraction, query building, and data validation.

6. Experience in data migration processes.

7. Exceptional skills in analyzing and gathering requirements for system integration and data exchanges.

8. Strong technical security knowledge, particularly in compliance with criminal justice information system data.

9. Comprehensive understanding of operating systems, applications, databases, networking, and security systems.

10. Excellent documentation and diagramming skills.

11. Ability to mentor junior business analysts effectively.

12. Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.

13. Proven problem-solving abilities.

14. Leadership skills to influence and guide business stakeholders.

15. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications:

1. A four-year college degree in Information Technology or seven years of relevant experience in business analysis, including two years in a senior business systems analyst role.

2. Relevant business analysis certifications such as CBAP, CBDA, CPRE, BPA, or AAC.
