Position Overview:

As an Oncology Nursing Specialist at Inuson International Inc @ i3, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. The selected individuals will be tasked with administering various chemotherapy protocols tailored to diverse oncology cases. Key responsibilities include:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and administering chemotherapy, hydration, and other prescribed medications under the guidance of a physician.
  • Conducting medication administration with precision.
  • Providing education to patients regarding their treatment plans.
  • Supporting physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow in clinical settings.
  • Documenting essential patient information prior to physician consultations, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and any changes in medication.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Oncology Nursing Specialist role, candidates must possess a solid understanding of medication usage in cancer treatment. Additional qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 1 year of recent experience in oncology nursing.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree).
  • Preferred certification in chemotherapy administration.
  • Required specialty certification, credentials, and references.
  • An active nursing license in good standing.

Skills and Competencies:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical proficiency in delivering direct patient care and educating patients and their families. Strong leadership and organizational abilities are essential, along with effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams, ultimately ensuring exceptional service and care delivery. Previous experience in oncology, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy is highly desirable.
