Job Summary

As a Patient Service Representative II in our GYN Oncology department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experiences and ensuring seamless clinical operations. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring a positive and respectful experience.
  • Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and clinical data entry with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with training new staff members on department-specific procedures and applications.
  • Facilitate patient appointments and referrals in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collect and process patient responsibility balances, preparing financial estimates for services rendered.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the department.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Healthcare-related certification (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Terminology, Coding) and 2+ years of clinical experience or 5+ years of EHR or medical billing system experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate well to diverse customers.
  • Knowledge of healthcare terminology, Microsoft Office, and CPR certification (preferred).
Working Conditions

This role involves sitting or standing for extended periods, with occasional walking, bending, and stooping. Long periods of computer time or workstation work are required, with light lifting or moving of objects up to 20 pounds. The workspace may vary from open to confined, on-site or remote, with occasional travel to various facilities within and beyond the county perimeter.
