Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Health First. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality and Safety: Demonstrate effective medication administration and management, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, promote effective communication, and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Education and Support: Provide patient education and support to promote health literacy and self-management.
  • Stewardship and Resource Management: Utilize resources efficiently, manage supplies, and promote a culture of sustainability.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Licensure: Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
  • Certification: Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card and maintain certification.
  • Experience: Must meet unit-specific care requirements.
  • Language: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Physical Demands: Must have visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate patients/equipment.
  • Mental Demands: Must have ability to work in a fast-paced environment, concentrate on multiple priority activities, and respond appropriately to life-threatening situations.
