Healthcare Support Specialist: LPN, MA, or EMT

Position Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering patient care, which may encompass the following responsibilities:

· Guiding patients to examination rooms while accurately recording essential visit details and vital signs, including height, weight, and blood pressure.

· Preparing and administering medications and immunizations as instructed by a clinician or RN, or according to established protocols.

· Assisting with various procedures and treatments as directed by the clinician, such as performing ear lavages, EKGs, and bladder scans.

· Ensuring that all elements of the standard rooming process are fulfilled, including medication reconciliation, allergy assessments, immunization updates, and completion of necessary forms and questionnaires to support clinical quality.

· Staying informed about and adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Qualifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Completion of an accredited practical nursing program. Must hold a current state practical nursing license. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required and must be maintained. A minimum of one year of nursing experience is preferred (ideally in a related medical field).

OR

Medical Assistant (MA): Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required and must be maintained. A minimum of one year of experience is preferred (ideally in a related medical field).

OR

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): High school diploma or GED and current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required and must be maintained.

Must meet one of the following: Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or currently registered as a pharmacy technician with one or more years of pharmacy technician experience OR Graduate of an accredited EMT program and hold a current EMT license.

Preferred Qualifications:

One or more years of experience in healthcare is preferred (ideally in a related medical field).
