Position Overview:
This role is designed for current Nursing Students who have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course.

We seek dedicated individuals eager to collaborate closely with our nursing staff, gaining invaluable hands-on experience within a hospital setting while pursuing their nursing education.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will assist in providing personalized care to patients, helping them achieve their highest level of wellness.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members, understanding the significance of collective goals.
  • Perform designated clinical tasks and non-clinical support activities essential for patient care.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, and currently enrolled in a board-certified nursing program.

Prior to employment, candidates must submit transcripts confirming completion of Fundamentals of Nursing from an accredited institution, along with a competency skills list from their educational program.

It is essential for the nurse technician to maintain good standing with their nursing school throughout their tenure in this role. Note: This program is exclusively for nursing students; if a student exits their program for any reason, they will no longer be eligible for the nurse technician position.

Certifications:
  • BLS certification required within one month of hire.
Physical Requirements:

This position necessitates the ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Additionally, it requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift, as well as the capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job duties.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience as an EMT, Paramedic, or in a previous patient care role is advantageous.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT)
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA) in the State of Arkansas
