Patient Care Provider: LPN, Medical Assistant, or EMT

Position Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering patient care, which may encompass the following responsibilities:

· Guiding patients to examination rooms while accurately recording essential visit details and vital signs, including height, weight, and blood pressure.

· Preparing and administering medications and immunizations as instructed by a clinician or RN, or according to established protocols.

· Assisting with procedures and treatments as directed by the clinician, such as performing ear lavages, EKGs, and bladder scans.

· Ensuring that all elements of the standard rooming process are completed, including medication reconciliation, allergy reviews, immunization updates, and the completion of necessary forms and questionnaires to support clinical quality.

· Staying informed about and adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Qualifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Must be a graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold a current state nursing license. A valid BLS certification for health professionals from the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required and must be maintained. One or more years of nursing experience is preferred (ideally in a related medical field).

OR

Medical Assistant (MA): Must be a graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). A valid BLS certification for health professionals from the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required and must be maintained. One or more years of experience is preferred (ideally in a related medical field).

OR

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Must possess a high school diploma or GED and hold a current BLS certification for health professionals from the American Heart Association or Red Cross, which must be maintained.

Must meet one of the following: Graduate from an accredited pharmacy technician program or currently registered as a pharmacy technician with one or more years of pharmacy technician experience OR Graduate from an accredited EMT program and hold a current Minnesota EMT License.

Preferred Qualifications:

One or more years of healthcare experience is preferred (ideally in a related medical field).
