Job Title: Senior Manager, Environmental Compliance and Strategy

Invenergy is a leading developer and operator of renewable energy projects. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Environmental Compliance and Strategy team.

Job Summary

The Senior Manager will provide technical expertise and assistance to project teams on National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance for clean energy and transmission projects. This includes reviewing NEPA milestone schedules and budgets, advising on the intersection of NEPA with other federal environmental laws, and providing input on the appropriate level of NEPA documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and assistance to project teams on NEPA compliance
  • Review NEPA milestone schedules and budgets
  • Advise on the intersection of NEPA with other federal environmental laws
  • Provide input on the appropriate level of NEPA documentation
  • Develop agency engagement strategies to advocate for the company's position on elements of the NEPA process
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in NEPA law, regulation, policy, and guidance
Requirements
  • 6+ years of professional experience in NEPA
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience and expertise interpreting and applying other federal environmental laws (ESA, CWA, and NHPA)
  • Demonstrated experience developing innovative strategies for environmental compliance
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and make independent decisions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in biological science/natural resources/environmental policy or environmental law degree
  • Working knowledge of resource avoidance and minimization measures for the development and construction of utility-scale energy projects
What We Offer

Invenergy offers a competitive salary range of $142,000 - $165,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), bonus, and paid time off.
